Harry J. 'Hunky' Farrell

December 22, 1951 — March 8, 2024

Harry J. “Hunky” Farrell was born on December 22, 1951 to Martin J. and Lorraine A. Farrell, of Sandy Lake, PA.  He passed away at his home after a valiant fight against lung cancer on Friday, March 8th. Hunky was a brilliant, hardworking man who loved the outdoors and had many friends. He really enjoyed watching eagles fly by his home.

When he was a young man, his mom told him to do things he wanted in life, so he hitchhiked across America and met many interesting people and got to see God’s wonderful creation in America.  He worked as a logger for over 50 years.  He also enjoyed carpentry and had his own management and removal of trees business.  In the winter he would work as a butcher and enjoyed hunting.

He was survived by his sister, Rhoda Hettick, Fredericksburg, VA, formerly of Sandy Lake, Patricia Lofink, Smithfield, NC, formerly of Adamsville, PA, Martin J. Farrell, Sandy Lake, Terry Farrell, Redwood City, CA, Judy Flinn, of Greenville, Pat Farrell, of Jackson Center and Sherry Farrell, of Lake City, FL.

Hunky was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Hart, of Sandy Lake, Bill Farrell, of Stoneboro, Betty Jean Estes, of Jackson Center, Joannie Bartalone, NSB, FL and Kathleen McFadden, of Harrisville, PA.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., of Stoneboro and Sandy Lake.  As per Hunky’s wishes there will be no services.
