Hazel A. Dearborn

Mrs. Hazel A. Dearborn, 72, wife of Ross F. Dearborn, of Meadville, was pronounced dead on arrival at City Hospital Saturday, September 8, 1984, following a seven-month illness.

She was born at Summerset, KY, December 11, 1911, a daughter of John and Sally Miller Rutherford.  She married Mr. Dearborn July 3, 1936.

She was employed from 1936-46 in the processing department at Avtex and was a member of Meadville First Presbyterian Church and Trinity Shrine No. 33.  She was an honorary member of Crawford County Federation of Democratic Women.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Rebecca) Dubowski of Meadville; two brothers, John Rutherford and Jessie Rutherford of Conneaut, OH; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Richard Rutherford; and two sisters, Verna Booth and Lucy Rutherford.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.


Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
