Hazel Ewing Chase

Mrs. Hazel Ewing Chase, 62, of Meadville, widow of Harry D. Chase, died Friday, July 31, 1959, at City Hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Chase was born in Vernon Township, August 22, 1896, a daughter of Frank M. and Susan Pease Ewing.  She married Harry D. Chase May 11, 1920.  He died in 1957.  Mrs. Chase was real estate agent for the Vic Kress agency and was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. George J. Hessler of East Mead Township and Mrs. Clarence R. Jones of Youngstown, OH; a brother, Claude R. Ewing of Los Angeles, CA and eighteen nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Ewing Cemetery, East Mead Township.
