Hazel Ruth Milosh

Hazel Ruth (Boots) Milosh, 95, of Conneaut Lake died Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Rolling Fields. She was born December 31, 1926 in Pittsburgh a daughter of Richard James and Hazel McEwen Downing. She married Elmer C. Milosh August 28, 1954 and he preceded her in death February 5, 2011. She attended Scott High School in North Braddock, PA. She worked at the G.C. Murphy Co in Meadville for 11 years and owned and operated with her husband, Elmer and her brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (Buck) and Shirley (Tucker) Downing the Chuck Wagon Restaurant for 2 years and the Oasis Tavern for 3 years both of which were in Conneaut Lake. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake and was a former member of the Conneaut Lake Park VFD #5 and Conneaut Lake VFD #3. She also was a volunteer at the former Spencer Hospital in Meadville and was active with the many horse shows at the Crawford County Fair. She is survived by a son, Glenn R. Milosh of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Lou Ann Swartzlander (Norman) of Conneaut Lake; a brother, Raymond (Buck) Downing of Conneaut Lake; four nieces, Rhonda Downing, Sandra Loreno, Carol Singleterry and Cathy Milosh and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Downing, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Shirley (Tucker) Downing and two nephews, Tod and Rod Downing. Calling hours will be Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at the Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Sam Heagy, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Harmonsburg.
