Helen E. Yaple, 85, formerly of Linesville and a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since December 1980, died there Saturday, October 23, 1999 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Erie, April 30, 1914, a daughter of the late William F. and Ethel May Stuyvesant Lawrence. She married Robert C. Yaple July 27, 1936 and he preceded her in death January 25, 1952.
She was a 1932 graduate of Academy High School, Erie and had been employed in the dietary department of Hamot Hospital for over 22 years. She was a member of Linesville United Methodist Church, a former Sunday School Teacher and secretary of the United Methodist Women for many years. At. Wesbury, she had been a member of the Cribbs Home Kitchen Band and the Chapel Choir.
She is survived by three nieces, Beverly Jean Danielka of West Springfield, Lori Ann Perkins of Needham, MA and Roberta Fuller of Conneautville.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Louise Yaple and one sister, Dorothy Dart.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery, Erie.
