Helen L. Maynard
September 14, 1874 — October 25, 1970
Miss Helen Leslie Maynard, 96, a resident of the Methodist Home for the Aged for 14 years, died Sunday, October 25, 1970, at City Hospital where she had been a patient two weeks since suffering a fracture in a fall.
She was born in Chicago September 14, 1874, a daughter of William H. and Julia Leslie Maynard.
Miss Maynard was the director of the Chautauqua Literary Society for 35 years. She was a graduate of Northwestern University of Chicago Art Institute.
Miss Maynard was a member of Hurlbut Memorial Church at Chautauqua, NY.
There are no close survivors.
Services were held with the Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Chautauqua Cemetery.
