Hortense Bannister Jenks

Mrs. Hortense Bannister Jenks, 87, of Carrolton, TX, formerly a resident of Guys Mills, died Monday, March 2, 1981, in Carrolton.

She was born in Ohio on August 1, 1893, a daughter of Fred and Frances Reed Ashley.  She married Earl F. Bannister who died in 1936.  She subsequently married Jenks who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Dan W. Bannister of Dallas and Earl F. Bannister, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Black of Long Beach, CA and Mrs. Ruth Allen of Hellandale, CA; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
