Hugh H. Barrett

Hugh H. Barrett, 83, of Meadville, a former sales broker, died Saturday, February 29, 1992, at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born in Oil City, June 28, 1908, a son of Houston and Nellie Horner Barrett.  He married Ethel McCrea July 24, 1943.  She preceded him in death July 7, 1991.

He retired from W.I. Berman & Co. of Pittsburgh as a motel sales broker.  He was also a sales manager for Freehold Real Estate of Pittsburgh and was employed many years at the First National Bank and Exchange of Oil City.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of the Golden Triangle chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity.

Survivors include a son, Bruce A Barrett of Meadville; a sister, Mary Iva Schreckengost of Oil City; a brother, Orville D. Barrett of Fort Myers, FL; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Brandon Cemetery, Cranberry Township, Venango County.
