Irene E. Grove

Irene E. Grove, 97, a former resident of Holland Towers, and a patient at Rolling Fields since April 1989, died at home on Saturday, January 20, 1990.
She was born in Meadville, May 14, 1892, a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Smallenberger Oster. She married Floyd R. Grove in 1915. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Meadville. She graduated from Meadville Public Schools, and was a member of the Railroad Veteran's Assn.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. Grove of Meadville; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren and a niece.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty; a sister and a brother.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
