Irene Knox

Mrs. Irene Knox, of Meadville, died Tuesday morning, July 18, 1972, at City Hospital where she had been a patient for six weeks.

She was born at Panama, NY, a daughter of Darwin W. and Zuelina Cleland Polder.  On July 3, 1920, she married Allan J. Knox who died in 1965.  Mrs. Knox was a member of Christ Church, Episcopal; the Charles N. Stafford American Legion Post Aux., 8 and 40 Salon, Ladies Advisory Committee of City Hospital and the Meadville Woman's Club.

Survivors include a son, George Darwin Knox of Meadville; a brother, Frank W. Polder of Meadville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
