J. Clifford Henderson
April 8, 1898 — November 6, 1981
J. Clifford Henderson, 83, of Meadville, died at City Hospital Friday, November 6, 1981, following a one-year illness.
He was born at McKeesport April 8, 1898, a son of Robert and Sarah Belsar Henderson. He married Elizabeth Love April 16, 1934.
He retired in 1963 as custodian at East End School after 36 years employment in the Meadville school system. He was a member of First Baptist Church and its Men's Bible Class and also was a former deacon and trustee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Phyllis) Court of Palm Harbor, FL; two sons, John of Canton, OH and Ralph of Peoria, IL; a sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Maizie) Spence of Meadville; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
