J. Wilma H. Smith

J. Wilma H. Smith, 85, of Meadville, died at home, Saturday, November 13, 1999 after a period of declining health.  He was born in Green Bank, WV, March 13, 1914 a daughter of the late Jesse and Bessie Sheets Hudson.  She married Wilfred E. Smith April 29, 1939 and he preceded her in death May 25, 1984.

Mrs. Smith was a graduate of the Green Bank public schools.  She had been employed at the American Viscose Co. of Meadville for 10 years, and was a member of the Wayland Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Christine Kell (James) of Girard and Shirley Irving (Timothy) of San Luis of Obispo, CA; two sons, Clark E. Smith at home and J. Burke Smith (Judith) of South River, NJ;  and eleven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sandy Castile Smith, a brother, Burke Hudson and a sister, Jewell Nugent.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
