Jack Hanks, 49, of Sheffield Lake, OH, formerly of Guys Mills, died Monday, October 10, 1977, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Sheffield Lake, after a one-year illness.
Born in Guys Mills, September 5, 1928, he was a son of Harold and Ethel Bain Hanks. He was married to Joyce Burgett. He was employed for 25 years by the Ford Motor Co. in Cleveland and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy.
In addition to his widow, survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Donna) Szili of Cleveland; a son, Bennett Hanks of Sheffield Lake; a sister, Mrs. George (Irene) Massung of Cambridge Springs; and a grandson.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Radle Cemetery, Randolph Township.
