James G. Brock

James G. Brock, 87, of Meadville, died Wednesday, October 25, 1995 at Wesbury United Methodist Community following a period of declining health.

He was born in Meadville, February 5, 1908 a son of James J. and Charlotte (Stanford) Brock.  He married Mabel Nordrum, June 26, 1936.  She survives.

He worked for Avtex for 37 years retiring in 1973 as a carpenter.  He was a graduate of Meadville Public Schools.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #408, Meadville, Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Erie, where he was a piper with the Kiltie Band for 13 years.  He was a member and past president of Meadville Sportsman's Club.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include; a son, George D. Brock of Falls Church, VA and two granddaughters.  He was preceded in death by a son, James V. Brock and sister Mary Connelly and a brother, Oliver S. Brock.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
