James M. Modisher

James M. Modisher, 62, of Meadville, died at Meadville City Hospital Thursday after a brief illness.

He is survived by his widow, Anna; a daughter, Mrs. Wrightson S. Tongue of New Market, VA; two sons, Dr. Melvin Modisher of Norfolk, VA and Chaplain Donald E. Modisher of the Army; two grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Wiesen of Sharpsville and Mrs. Fred Flowers of New Castle.

Mr. Modisher, before he came to Meadville in 1929, was a millwright foreman at the Shenango Furnance Company in Sharpsville.  After coming to this city he was a mechanic at the plant of the American Viscose Corp. for some time, then became employed by the city's department of streets.

Mr. Modisher was a member of Stone Methodist Church and its Mens Bible Class.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Morefield Cemetery, Mercer County.
