Janet Marie Beighley

Janet Marie Beighley, 84, formerly of 687 Chestnut St., Meadville and a current resident of the Crawford County Care Center, died there, Monday, May 22, 2006.

She was born April 29, 1922 in Akron, OH, a daughter of the late Anson and Ina Shannon Beighley and raised by the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitman, and the late, Virginia Simpson.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School and worked in production at Avtex for 42 years, retiring in 1985.  She was a former member of Utica United Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three cousins, Polly Shilling of Charleston, SC; Susanne Jamison and her husband Joseph of Canal Winchester, OH; and Katherine Hill and her husband Robert of Meadville.

Calling hours are Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Travis Webster, Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville.

Interment will be in Millcreek Cemetery, Utica.
