Jay S. Howard
July 31, 1875 — April 20, 1957
Jay S. Howard, 81, of Meadville, died Saturday shortly after being admitted to City Hospital.
Son of Warren S. and Lydia Gage Howard, he was a lumberman in the Guys Mills area before moving to Meadville in the fall of 1954.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Grace Wiltsey Howard; three sons, Norman and Orval of Erie and Ellsworth of Meadville; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Lucy Clark, Mrs. Prudence Pratt and Mrs. Agnes Powell, all of Erie.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
