Jean B. Kibler

October 12, 1923 — August 8, 1991

Jean B. Kibler, 67, of Maineville, OH, formerly of Meadville and Cambridge Springs, a retired teacher, died Thursday, August 8, 1991, at her residence following a brief illness.

She was born in Cleveland, OH, October 12, 1923, a daughter of Edwin and Helen Moritz Brunner.  She married Richard D. Kibler, September 6, 1951.  He preceded her in death August 27, 1981.

She retired in 1987 from Crawford Central School District as the advanced placement history teacher at Meadville Area Senior High School after 16 years.  She also taught psychology and anthropology at MASH.  She previously was employed by Townville High School from 1945 to 1956.  She was a member of Loveland United Methodist Church of Loveland, OH.  She taught Sunday School from 1938 to 1976.

She was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, OH, graduating magna cum laude.  She received her master's degree from Western Reserve University.  She was a member of AAUW and Delta Kappa Gamma Professional teaching sorority.

While a resident of Cambridge Springs, she was a member of Cambridge Springs United Presbyterian Church and served as a church elder and chairman of the Christian Education Committee.

While living in Meadville, Kibler was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and had served as the chairman of the Church and Society Committee.  She was a member and past officer of the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Marilyn) Neverovitch of Maineville and Virginia Kilber of Wheaton, MD and a sister, Ruth Florence of Rocky River, OH.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Cambridge Cemetery.
