Jennifer Suzanne Shaffer

Jennifer Suzanne (Hart) Shaffer, 52 of Stoneboro, passed away on December 7, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Jennifer was born in Greenville on March 9, 1970 to Edward James Hart and Riná Redfoot Hart. She was a 1988 graduate of Lakeview High School and a 1991 graduate of Sharon Regional Hospital School of Nursing. In 1993 she earned her BSN from Slippery Rock University. Over her years of being a Nurse, Jennifer worked at Butler Memorial, Onslow Memorial, St. Francis, Jameson, Grove City, and Farrell Hospitals. She was very proud of her profession and loved helping people. She was the director of three Labor and Delivery departments, at St. Francis, Grove City, and Farrell. She was well respected and had the honor of speaking at Jameson Nursing School Graduation a few years ago.

Jennifer was a member of Stoneboro United Methodist Church and loved her church family. She loved animals, especially hedgehogs. She also enjoyed horses and keeping many pets. She enjoyed fishing and of course, loved babies. Most of all she loved her family, her husband, sons, and grandson.

Jennifer married her husband, John W. Shaffer on February 12, 1994, he survives at home. She is also survived by her sons; Derek (Jazmyne) Shaffer of Spring Mills, PA, and Dylan Shaffer of Stoneboro, her grandson; Leo Shaffer, her parents; Edward Hart of Ludlow, PA, and Riná Redfoot Hart of Stoneboro, sister; Debra (William) Ryder of Gibsonia, brother; Jarrod (Krissy) Hart of Lancaster, OH, a dear aunt; Rebecca (Ron) Fassett, dear uncle; Matt (Suzanne) Hart, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where visitation will be Friday, December 9, from 4 pm – 7pm. A funeral will take place on Saturday, December 10, at the Stoneboro United Methodist Church at 11 am with visitation taking place from 10 am – 11 am.

Private interment will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery
