Jerome A. Bilinski

Jerome A. “Turk” Bilinski, age 77, of Meadville, passed away on Thursday evening, May 21, 2026, in his residence surrounded by family.

He was born in Wall, PA on September 30, 1948, the son of Anthony and Dorothy (Milcic) Bilinski.

He was a 1966 graduate of East Allegheny High School and a 1970 graduate of Clarion State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in education.

For more than 30 years, he was employed by the United States Postal Service in Pittsburgh and Meadville, retiring as the Postmaster of Sandy Lake.

On June 19, 1971, Turk married the former Cinda Allen, she survives.

Jerome was a member of French Creek Community Church of God and Meadville VFW. His hobbies included watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. His favorite past time was listening to his vast collection of music, particularly Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years; two daughters, Tracey Clapper and her companion David “DJ” Prittie of Cambridge Springs, Tricia Nicewonger and her companion Christian “Gage” Hedrick of Kill Devil Hills, NC; three grandchildren, Riley Fink, Rowan Nicewonger, and Elijah Nicewonger and nieces and nephews who also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eleanor (Bilinski) Eckler, and a brother Eugene Bilinski.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday 6-11-26 at 3:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE with Rev. Gregg Giles, Pastor of French Creek Community Church, officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday 6-11-26 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
