Jerry C. Gongaware

Jerry C. Gongaware, 83, formerly of Meadville, died Monday, June 29, 1964, at Spencer Hospital of a long illness which followed a stroke last March.
He was born at Irwin October 25, 1880, a son of Hezekiah and Martha Schaffer Gongaware. A retired farmer, he had been employed for 18 years on the Jim Thomas Guernsey dairy farm.
He was a member of Brush Creek Lutheran Church near Greensburg.
Mr. Gongaware is survived by two sons, Gilbert of Pueblo, CO and J. Clark of New Stanton; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Pearl Delphine Rose, and a daughter, Elizabeth Eleanor, preceded him in death.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
