Jessie Nevins

Mrs. Jessie Nevins, 91, widow of the Rev. Clyde Nevins, died Friday, February 16, 1979, at the United Methodist Home and Nursing Hospital where she had been a patient since September 1977.
She was born in Meadville December 25, 1887, a daughter of Charles and Minnie Tiffany. Her husband, who died in 1939, was a Methodist minister in the former Pittsburgh Conference of the United Methodist Church. She assisted her husband as he served various pastorates. Mrs. Nevins was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Mrs. Suzanne Hofstetter of Narberth and Mrs. Claudia Monk of Wynnewood; and two grandsons, Richard Nevins of Bridgeport and Charles Nevins, Jr. of Gladwyne.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
