Joan Bainer Dearment

February 7, 1949 — January 1, 1753

Joan Bainer DeArment, 3 1/2 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. DeArment, of Meadville, died suddenly early yesterday afternoon at her home.

Members of Central Fire Station had worked on the little girl with a pneolater for more than an hour in an attempt to revive her from an acute croup attack.  Except for the croup, the child had not been ill, relatives said.

The family physician said death was caused by an acute spasm of the throat muscles.

Born February 7, 1949, Joan is survived by her parents; a brother, William Stewart DeArment; a half sister, Mrs. James Norman; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bainer and Mrs. J. Howard DeArment; an uncle, George S. DeArment and cousins, all of Meadville.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
