Joanne L. Scott

Joanne L. Scott, 82, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Monday morning, December 15, 2025, in Meadville Medical Center at Grove Street.

She was born in Philadelphia on May 13, 1943, the daughter of Joseph D. and Lillian (Griffith) Pegano.

On April 22, 1972, Joanne married Jack D. Scott, he passed away on March 20, 2022.

Joanne was a 1961 graduate of Baldwin High School and also attended Arsenal Vocational School for her practical nursing certificate. She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community, retiring in 2010 and was previously employed at Magee Women’s Hospital and worked in the office with Dr. Robert Bazylak in Conneaut Lake.

She enjoyed word searches, playing Wordfeud, Hallmark Christmas movies, shopping for bargains, and had a very good sense of humor.

She is survived by a daughter, Heather Baker and her husband Christopher of Conneaut Lake; a son, Steven Scott (Amy Weisgerber) of Munhall; a brother Joseph Pegano and his wife Barbara of Linesville; and a very good friend whom she considered a sister, Delores McQuiston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., Meadville.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
