Joanne E. Walls

Joanne E. Walls, age 93, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday morning, November 26, 2025, in Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Meadville on March 14, 1932, a daughter of Charles and Ethel (DeMaison) Schweitzer. She was a 1951 graduate of Meadville High School and on June 28, 1952, Joanne married Jerry Walls, he passed away on February 17, 2013.

She was a member of The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church.

She is survived by a son, Michael Walls and his wife Laura of Black Mountain, NC; two daughters, Christine Delapaz and her husband James of Meadville, Lisa Volna and her husband David of Meadville; a sister, Elizabeth Richardson of Cambridge Springs; a brother, Clair Schweitzer of Meadville; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters Nancy Hope and Margaret Lilly.

Funeral Arrangements will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 581 CHESTNUT ST, MEADVILLE.
