Jodi L. Fowler

June 8, 1976 — March 23, 2015

Jodi L. (Jodi Jingles) Fowler, 38, of Meadville, passed from this life and went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 23, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center.  Jodi has fulfilled her earthly mission and God sent an angel to pick another flower for His Heavenly bouquet.

She was born in Greenville June 8, 1976, a daughter of Kenton and Nancy Britton Fowler.

Jodi was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind, Pittsburgh where she was known as the class social butterfly.  Jodi had her own special way of interacting with others with her beautiful smile and the love she showed, even though her language skills were quite limited.  She and her mom enjoyed clowning around for several years and were known as Jodi Jingles and Patches.

Jodi was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church and was affiliated with the Erie Homes for Children and Adults.  She enjoyed gospel music.

Survivors include her parents of Meadville; four Uncles, Neal Britton and his wife Debbie of Chapmanville, Doug Britton and his wife Pat of Meadville, Dave Fowler and his wife Carlene of Guys Mills, and Terry Fowler of Nevada; an Aunt, Carol Howell of Meadville; and several cousins.

Jodi loved her very special caregivers and friends, Marilyn Penfield and Elizabeth Johnson, and Jodi’s parents are grateful to them for their loving care for many years.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Clayton J. Fowler; maternal grandparents, H. Neal and Violet Britton; paternal grandparents, Charles and Anita Fowler; and an Aunt, Sherry Britton.

A private funeral service will be at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Guys Mills with the Rev. Alice McClymonds, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Erie Homes for Children and Adults, 226 E. 27th St., Erie, PA 16504 in memory of Jodi Fowler.
