Joe I. Hotchkiss, 67, of Guys Mills, died at Spencer Hospital, Tuesday, July 4, 1967, following a brief illness.
He retired in 1960 after 30 years as an employee of the state Highways Department.
He was born at Guys Mills, August 28, 1899, a son of Herman J. and Nettie Lingo Hotchkiss. He and the former Mildred Hall were married May 24, 1920.
Mr. Hotchkiss was affiliated with the United Church of Guys Mills.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Romaine) Gilbert of Meadville; a son, Gordon at home; two grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.
