John C. Schlosser
April 27, 1898 — January 17, 1985
John C. Schlosser, 86, of Meadville, died at Wesbury United Methodist Community, Thursday, January 17, 1985, after an illness of several months.
He was born at Crossingville, April 27, 1898, a son of James E. and Ethel A. Frantz Schlosser. He married Helen Winifred Rush, November 22, 1919. She died February 15, 1965.
He was employed as a carpenter and was a past business agent of Meadville Carpenter's Local 556.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 408 and Erie County Consistory. He was a past president of Meadville Labor Temple Builders Assn.
Survivors include a son, Frederick J. Schlosser of Erie; a brother, Melvin Schlosser of Mosiertown; several nieces and nephews, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara, three brothers and a sister.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
