John M. Barrett
December 18, 1948 — January 31, 1997
John M. Barrett, 48, of Meadville, died Friday, January 31, 1997, at Meadville Medical Center following a sudden illness.
He was born in Meadville, December 18, 1948, a son of Gordon O. and Helen Elizabeth "Betty" Haas Barrett.
He worked as a custodian at Neason Hill Elementary School for 13 years. He attended First Presbyterian Church, was a social member of the VFW and a member of the Meadville Club. He was also an avid CBer whose handle was "Satellite."
Survivors, in addition to his parents of Meadville, include: a daughter, Kayla Barrett of Montana; two brothers, George Barrett of Greensboro, NC and Gordon Barrett, Jr. of Jupiter, FL; and a sister, Betsy Tucker of Stuart, FL.
Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
