John P. Carlton, 66, of Meadville, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 2, 1965, at City Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England, June 16, 1898, a son of John W. and Emma Page Carlton. He served in the calvary during World War I.
Mr. Carlton was employed by Automatic Retailers of America as a manager of a restaurant at the American Viscose Division plant of FMC Corp.
He was a member of St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his widow, the former Ida M. Nolte, whom he married November 10, 1945; and two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Burgess of Leechburg and Mrs. Frank (Katherine) Vorko of Pittsburgh.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Leechburg.
