John S. Macarthur
October 30, 1914 — September 26, 1980
John S. MacArthur, 65, of Conneaut Lake, died Friday, September 26, 1980, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie after a brief illness.
He was born in Oil City on October 30, 1914, a son of John F. and Flora Swisher MacArthur. He married Helen Johnston on January 14, 1968.
He retired in 1976 as a collector at National Fuel Gas Co. where he had worked for 17 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a brother, Robert of Meadville; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Rocky Glen Cemetery.
