John W. Joice

John W. Joice, 84, of 9108 State Hwy 198, Conneautville, died Sunday, June 10, 2007 at Rolling Fields.

He was born in Leavenworth, KS August 25, 1922, a son of the late Walter C. and Sarah Berry Joice.  He married Jean Marion Gottselig October 10, 1947 and she preceded him in death in 1999.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and served from 1941 to 1966, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander.  He subsequently worked as an Air Traffic Controller in Wichita, KS.  He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church, Wichita and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Zem Zem Shrine Temple, Wichita.  He enjoyed amateur radio operation.

Survivors include a grandson, Ryan Clark and his wife Jennifer of Pittsburgh and 2 great-grandchildren, Griffin and Jocelynn Clark.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Roxanne Joice and a son, Edward Joice.

Following cremation, interment will be in Kansas.
