John Whitelaw

February 3, 1900 — January 1, 1753

John Whitelaw, of Meadville, died Tuesday night at Spencer Hospital following a long illness.

He had been employed by the maintenance department of Allegheny College.  A native of Scotland, he came to the US at the age of 21 and resided in Cleveland, OH, until 1939, when he moved to Meadville.

He was a member of Clan Grant, Order of Scottish Clans, Cleveland and of the Park Avenue Congregational Church.

Survivors include his widow, Margaret; a brother, Albert of Cleveland; and his father and several brothers and sisters in Scotland.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
