Joseph F. Phipps

Joseph F. Phipps, 78 of Polk, passed away on January 22,2022 at Quality Life Services – Grove City. Joseph was born on October 28, 1944 in Mercer to the late Frank and Josephine Phipps.

Mr. Phipps drove truck for over 35 years for different trucking companies, retiring in 2010 due to poor health. Joe enjoyed camping and fishing. Mr. Phipps attended the Hickory Grove Church of God.

He married Mina Clayton on December 23, 1973 and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters; Regina Richmore, Lucinda Reardon and husband Tony, and Shelly Miller, four stepsons; Lewis Clayton, Richard Clayton, Steven Clayton, and Jeffery Clayton, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a sister; Delores Phipps, 2 brothers; Allesworth Phipps, and Lewis Phipps, as well as 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. Stoneboro & Sandy Lake

There will be no services as per Joseph’s wishes.
