Joseph F. Waid

Joseph F. Waid, 72, of Little Cooley died Saturday, December 31, 1966, at Warren State Hospital after several years of poor health.

Mr. Waid at one time was a farmer in the Cambridge Springs area.  In 1958 he retired from General Electric Corp. at Erie, where he had been employed in the refrigerator department for 12 years.

Born in West Virginia April 27, 1894, he was a son of Fred and Cora Armstrong Waid.  He married Maude Birchard September 8, 1914.

Besides his widow, his survived by five sons, Paul and Willard, both of Meadville, Frederick of Sundance, WY, Kenneth of San Diego, CA and Joseph of Queen City, TX; a brother, Earl of Guys Mills; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Townley Cemetery, Richmond Township.
