Joseph E. Troxell

Joseph E. “Joe” Troxell, age 77, of Conneaut Lake passed away Wednesday morning May 7, 2025, in Crawford Care Center, Saegertown.

He was born in Geneva, PA on November 18, 1947, a son of Clare and Rebecca (Andrews) Troxell. On April 27, 1968, Joe married the former Julie M. Bowman, she survives.

He was employed as a meat cutter at J & J Grocery for 25 years and then Rays Market in Linesville until his retirement.

He was a member of Vernon Central Hose Co. for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years; three children, Tammy Steinfath and her husband Lonnie of Conneaut Lake, Jodi Thomas and her husband Tom of Conneaut Lake, and Scott Troxell and his wife Kristy of Erie; five grandchildren, Corey Garland, Gina Baker, Katie Stofferahn, Austin Thomas, and Hunter Troxell; four great grandchildren, Rowan and Scarlett Garland, Josie and Cash Baker; a sister, Diane Nageotte; and a half-brother, Jason Paulus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepbrother William Knight.

SERVICES: As per Joe’s wishes there will be no services. Burial will be private in Geneva Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC. 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD. CONNEAUT LAKE.
