Juanita L. Daniels

Juanita L. Daniels, 82, of 13847 Oakview Dr., Meadville, died Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born December 25, 1923 in Blooming Valley, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rabell Theuret.  She married S. Burton Daniels August 1, 1942 and he preceded her in death March 14, 1999.

She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm.  She was a vendor at the Meadville Market House and Crawford County Fair for many years, selling meat, cheese, and her homemade jams, jellies, and relishes.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, traveling, listening to polka music, and going to the community center.  She had a passion for garage sales and loved to “kick up her heals” at community dances.

She was a member of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2006 Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, National Farmers Organization, and was a former member of the Veterans of World War I Auxiliary.

Survivors include her companion, Howard Walter Ash of Meadville; a daughter, Bernita Brown and her husband Les of Townville; a sister, Winifred Krupski and her husband Joseph of Saegertown; a brother, Robert Theuret and his wife Veronica of Saegertown; 2 granddaughters, Tina Sterling and her husband Charles of Guys Mills and Teresa Hodges and her husband Shawn of Townville; a grandson, Bryan Brown and his wife Carolyn of Meadville; 5 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joseph Sterling, Aiden and Emma Hodges, and Bryce Brown; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved pet dachshund Heidi.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home, 581 Chestnut St., Meadville.

A funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Don Russell, Pastor of Blooming Valley United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
