Justin V. Childs

Justin V. Childs, 75, of West Mead Township, died at Spencer Hospital, Tuesday, November 13, 1984 following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Warren, OH, a son of Adolphus A. and Pearl Shorts Childs.  He married Freda Cowden November 3, 1934, she survives.

He retired as a painting contractor in Meadville in 1978.  He was also employed as a personnel director and manager of Erie's Talon plant for 17 years.  Justin was a member of Christ Church Episcopal.  He was also a volunteer and chairman of Red Cross Fundraising in Erie County.

Surviving, in addition to his wife include a son, Robert Childs (Jane) of Springfield, VA and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ivan Childs and a sister, Opal.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
