Katherine E. Eddy

Katherine E. Eddy, 85, of Meadville, died Thursday, January 7, 1999 at Astoria Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Sylmar, CA, following a period of declining health.

She was born in Ambridge, PA, August 19, 1913, a daughter of Christian and Elizabeth Hoffman Keiper.  She married Levi Eddy, October 10, 1937 and he preceded her in death November 9, 1995.

She was a homemaker and had worked at one time at the Kessler Diner.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Eddy of Sylmer, CA and Larry R. Eddy of Meadville; a daughter, Joan Curtis of Conneaut, OH; four sisters, Helen Wolf of Cleveland, Theresa Hall of Hummelstown, PA, Margaret Keiper of Scotch Plains, NJ and Betty Werling of Edinboro; a brother, John Keiper of Gautier, MS; seven grandchildren, Robert S. Eddy, Christa D. Eddy, Greig Curtis, Bonnie Harris, Jill Rudler, Sarah Beall and Jack Curtis; nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jake and Louie Keiper and a sister, Anna Seltzer.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
