Kathryn B. Grande

Kathryn B. Grande, 93, formerly of Meadville, died Sunday, April 23, 2000, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

She was born in Driftwood, Cameron County, October 18, 1906, a daughter of Steven & Bertha Smith Bauer.  She married James P. Wilson, December 3, 1928, and he preceded her in death in 1941.

She had lived in Emporium and worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Sylvania Electric Co. before moving to Meadville in 1952.  In Meadville, she had been employed at the former Spencer Hospital and in the office of Dr. V. G. Hawkey.

Survivors include a daughter, Imogene Bergholtz (Devon) of Saegertown; a son, Robert Wilson (Nancy) of Manhattan Beach, CA; four grandchildren, Nancy Dearborn, Russell Bergholtz, Jamey Wilson and Kimberly Carpenter; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; two sisters, Mildred Francene of Johnsonberg and Avenell Beers of Franklin; three brothers, Norman Bauer of St. Mary's, Rollie Bauer of Rochester, NY and Steven Bauer of Smethport.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Rube Bauer and a grandson, Devon N. Bergholtz, Jr.

Services were held with the Waid Funeral Home.
