Kenneth P. Kuhn, age 69, of Meadville, passed away on July 12, 2026, in his residence.
He was born in Meadville on August 2, 1956, the son of Guy and H. Jeanne (Hesselgesser) Kuhn.
Ken was a 1974 graduate of Meadville High School and the Tool and Die program at the Vo-Tech. He completed his apprenticeship at Kuhn Tool & Die Co., where he became a Journeyman Toolmaker. Alongside his wife, Bonnie, Ken proudly served as the second-generation owner/operator of Kuhn Tool & Die Co., continuing the family business with pride and dedication. He had the foresight to make two of his son’s partners in the business so his business would continue as third generation. In this role, Ken oversaw years of growth expanding into a 41,000+ square-foot manufacturing. He was an advocate and supporter of local economic development and served as a respected voice in the manufacturing sector. Under his leadership, he was able to provide stable manufacturing jobs in Meadville and recognized with the Pennsylvania Governor’s Impact Award for Small Business in the Northwest Region for innovation, growth, and job creation.
On March 8, 1986, Ken married the former Bonnie Watson, she survives.
He was a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge No. 219, the Meadville Country Club, and served as Past President of the NWPA-NTMA. He was also a member of the Meadville Medical Center Board of Corporators, past Vice President of the Active Aging Foundation, and current Vice President of the Active Aging Board.
Ken enjoyed skiing, biking, candle making, making stained glass, golfing, playing the organ, gardening, riding his tractor and tending his land, and was an avid scotch connoisseur. Above all, Ken cherished the time spent with his wife, and his family. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of 40 years; a daughter, Jennifer Kuhn of Meadville; three sons, David Kuhn of Meadville, Doug Kuhn of Meadville, Nathaniel Kuhn (Alexandria Spring) of Meadville; 13 grandchildren, Annelise, Brodie, Olivia, Kayleigh, Desiree, Sadie, Isley, Mason, Sam, Miles, Liam, Owen, Marceline; three sisters, Patricia Avery Conchie of Meadville, Christine Hays (John) of Meadville, Jacqueline Peters (Doug) of Conneaut Lake; a brother, Guy Kuhn of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
