Lansing A. Dowdell

Lansing A. Dowdell, 70, of Meadville, died Monday, January 6, 1969, at City Hospital following an illness of three months. Mr. Dowdell had been a patient at the hospital since Saturday.
He was born in Meadville, October 3, 1898, a son of Howard and Wanda Kilday Dowdell. He married the former Wilda Glenn March 1, 1929.
Mr. Dowdell served a four year apprenticeship with the Erie Railroad where he was employed as a machinist for 46 years, retiring in 1964. He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.
Survivors, besides his widowoo, are a daughter, Mrs. George E. (Linda) Trumpore and a son, Lansing Howard Dowdell, both of Saugerties, NY; a sister, Mrs. J. B. (Susie) Brewer of Meadville; and three grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
