Laura H. Jones, age 78, of Punta Gorda, FL and previously of Conneaut Lake, passed away Monday evening, March 2, 2026, surrounded by family.
She was born in Pittsburgh on October 14, 1947, the daughter of Dr. Robert M. and Jane (Hiles) Succop.
Laura was a graduate of Edgewood High School and Slippery Rock University where she received her bachelor’s degree.
On September 11, 1982, Laura married Gary L. Jones, he passed away on January 10, 2026.
Laura and Gary were the owner/operators of Jones Plumbing & Heating in Meadville.
She was of the Protestant faith and a former member of the Meadville Community Theater and the Slippery Rock Alumni Association.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Beth Urquhart and husband Kevin of Punta Gorda, FL; a stepson, Brian Jones and his wife Debbie of Lehigh Acres, FL; a brother Robert B. Succop of Mesa, AZ; 14 step-grandchildren, 16 step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
