Laverne M. Ploss

Laverne M. Ploss, 60, of Guys Mills, died late yesterday afternoon at Warren, PA, General Hospital, a few hours after he was taken ill at work.  Warren County Coroner Ed C. Lowrey issued a verdict of death from a heart attack.

Mr. Ploss was born in Chautauqua County, NY.  He lived in Meadville for ten years before moving to Guys Mills eight years ago.  He was a member of Randolph Grange.

For a ten-year period, Mr. Ploss was superintendent of grounds and buildings at Allegheny College.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Isiah Rickard of Guys Mills and one grandchild.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Townville.
