Lena E. Berly

Lena E. Berly, 98, of Meadville, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since January, died there Thursday, July 28, 1988 after an extended illness.

She was born in East Fairfield Township, Crawford County on March 11, 1890, a daughter of Ernest and Louise Beuchat Medo.  She married George L. Berly on June 18, 1914.  He preceded her in death on February 5, 1984.

Mrs. Berly was a member of St. Agatha's Roman Catholic Church and St. Hippolyte's Church.  She was a part of the Rosary and Alter Society.

Survivors include two daughters, Eleanor L. Berly of Meadville and Marjorie Schroeder (John) of Meadville; two sons, Ernest G. and Bernard L. Berly of Meadville; one sister, Ethel Berrier of Meadville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one niece.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by twin infant sons and two infant sisters.

A Funeral Mass was held at St. Agatha's Church.

Interment was in St. Hippolytes Cemetery, Frenchtown.
