Leona M. Bivens
August 4, 1911 — October 17, 2000
Leona M. Bivens, 89, of Meadville, and a former resident of Carthage, Il, died at Wesbury Methodist Retirement Community, Meadville, Tuesday October 17, 2000.
She was born in Hancock County, Il, August 4, 1911, a daughter of the late Bert and Blanche Kimbrough White.
She was employed as a bookkeeper for the First National Bank of Carthage for 25 years and she especially enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. Richard Bivens of Westfield, NY, Bert Bivens of Bellingham, WA and Loren Bivens of Simi Valley, CA; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Bruce, Dominick, Dashiel and Jasper Bivens, Susan Frederickson and Diane Ross and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard White, and two sisters, Olive Earls and Marie Carle.
Interment of Cremated Remains was in Basco Illinois South Cemetery.
