Leona M. Flickinger

Leona M. Flickinger, 72, of Meadville, died Friday, January 19, 1990, at Trumbell Memorial Hospital, Warren, OH, following two years of poor health.

She was born in Madison Township, Armstrong County, September 2, 1917, a daughter of H. F. and Millie Smith McGuire.  She married Melvin E. Flickinger, December 12, 1947.  He preceded her in death April 11, 1971.

She retired in 1982 from her position as matron on the housekeeping department at Avtex Fibers following 40 years of service.

Survivors include a son, Melvin T. Flickinger of Warren, OH; a sister, Pauline McGuire of Torrance; a brother, Hubert McGuire of Pittsburgh and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
