Leona Parker

Leona Parker, 97, formerly of Corry and current resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community since April 30, 1979, died there, Monday, March 17, 1997 following a period of declining health.
She was born March 22, 1899 in Wattsburg, a daughter of the late Harley and Mertie McDonald Parker.
Miss Parker was a graduate of the former Edinboro State Normal School and worked for many years in Corry as an elementary school teacher. She was a member of Corry Evangelical United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Parker; a brother, Claude Parker and a nephew, Robert Parker.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Wattsburg Cemetery, Wattsburg.
