Leora M. Richards

Leora M. Richards, 90, a resident of Wesbury United Methodist Community, died Saturday, April 20, 1996 at the Meadville Medical Center after a period of declining health.

She was born in Central City, CO, June 6, 1905, a daughter of the late Robert and Alice Mills Crispin.  She married Herald Dewitt Richards in 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1981.

She retired as a supervisor in 1961 from the Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co., now US West, after 41 years of service.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.  She was a life long resident of Colorado until moving to Meadville in 1995.

She is survived by a brother, Robert L. Crispin of Meadville; a foster son, William Richards of Graham, WA and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Vivian Crispin.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
