Leroy (Roy) Campbell

Leroy (Roy) Campbell, of Meadville, formerly of Butler, died Sunday, November 9, 1980, at home following a period of failing health.

He was born at Butler on February 2, 1894, a son of Nathaniel and Joanna Winters Campbell.  He married E. Mae Miller in 1922.  She died in 1965.

He retired in 1959 as secretary-treasurer at the Butler office of Pittsburgh National Bank after 47 years of service to the company.  He was a member and former treasurer and deacon of Bethany United Church of Christ, Butler.  He was a member of Butler Lodge 272, Free and Accepted Masons; Royal Arch Chapter, Butler; Lorriane Commandery No. 87, Butler; and Syria Shrine Temple of Pittsburgh.  He had been an area resident of three and a half years.

He is survived by a cousin, Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Droz of Meadville, with whom he lived.  He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in North Cemetery, Butler.
